Fidelity’s goal is to create a unified Profile experience with a complete suite of enhanced digital capabilities so participants can easily create and manage their personal information, contacts and settings across Fidelity.

Here are the steps we are taking to create a more comprehensive Profile experience:

  • A new Beneficiary Landing page where participants can easily view, add, and manage beneficiaries across all Fidelity accounts for greater piece of mind.
  • A simplified Profile Landing page and more modern Personal Information page so that participants feel known and secure across Fidelity®.
  • When it comes to security, the security of participant data and information is a top priority. We’ve made it easier for participants to take an active role in securing their accounts with the Security Center enhancements such as third-party authenticator apps and Security Checklist.

These enhancements will be available on NetBenefits® and Fidelity.com, which started in Q3 2024 and will have a phased rollout through Q1 2025.

A simplified Profile Landing Page and Personal Information experience to ensure participants feel known and secure across Fidelity®.

This enhancement includes features that will allow participants to easily update their personal information on the profile landing page. Some of the highlighted features on this update are:

  • Simplified grouping of information
  • Customer-provided personal info clearly delineated from employer-provided info
  • Limit of 2 phone numbers and 2 email addresses (customer-provided)
  • Ability to edit phone and email
  • All other edit functions point to existing flows

The security of participant data and information is a top priority. We've made it easier for participants to take an active role in securing their accounts.

The Security Checklist provides a meter to motivate participants to take action to enhance protections against fraud, identity theft, and financial loss.

The security actions in the checklist are:

  • Add an email address and phone number – this supports multi-factor authentication and real-time alerts
  • Use multi-factor authentication – to enhance protections against unauthorized access
  • Have a username and password – participants should register their account online to control access and help prevent an unauthorized person from registering the account
  • Go paperless – to help reduce the risk of theft of paper documents that can contain sensitive information, such as account numbers

New third-party authenticator apps will give participants more choices on how they securely authenticate at login.

The security of participant data and information is a top priority. We've made it easier for participants to take an active role in securing their accounts.

This experience can help make it easier for participants to ensure all accounts across Fidelity have a beneficiary assigned.

Some of the changes to highlight are:

  • Personal Accounts – All Fidelity retail accounts will appear here
  • Missing Beneficiary Alert – Alert to easily identify accounts that need a beneficiary to be added
  • Workplace Accounts – Lists the name of the employer’s workplace account. If participant has more than one employer, those active accounts will appear
  • Ineligible Accounts – Workplace accounts that are restricted to add or edit a beneficiary (e.g., DB plans in pay) will link to the current NetBenefits experience and provide plan-specific messaging and reason for restriction
  • Spousal Consent Reminder – Alerts for pending spousal consent form for any plans
