Resources to help your employees as they transition to retirement

Making sure your employees feel prepared for the transition to retirement and providing them with resources for life-long financial wellness are priorities for us.

That’s why, we continue to invest in the retirement income services we offer. We’re excited to share some of our most recent developments and tools that you may use to help better support your employees as they transition to retirement.

First, we’re excited to announce the launch of Guaranteed Income Direct – a simple and flexible way for employees to purchase a guaranteed stream of lifetime income payments directly from their plan. Employees have the ability to convert a portion of their 401(k) or 403(b) savings into a guaranteed lifetime income stream by purchasing an annuity through a 3rd party provider selected by the employer.

By adding this option to your retirement plan, you’ll help your employees feel more secure in retirement. Guaranteed Income Direct:

  • Helps keep employees from outliving their retirement savings
  • Helps keep their investment safe from market swings
  • Provides a guaranteed stream of income for life or as long as they need it

Additionally, we’ve made enhancements to our existing Retirement Decision Guide – a digital tool that helps employees generate a personalized pathway to retirement and provides resources to help them make informed decisions around topics most important to them. We added the Retirement Income Calculator and the Health Insurance Before Medicare Planner into the experience, so employees have the ability to plan their monthly income while living in retirement and better understand their health coverage options before Medicare.

Retirement Income Calculator

The Retirement Income Calculator is a digital tool that helps employees understand what their monthly income could look like in retirement. The tool helps employees:

  • Estimate how much money they could have in retirement
  • Explore how different strategies could impact their income including income from social security, pensions, and annuities
  • Make informed decisions around income in retirement through additional education

Health Insurance Before Medicare Planner

The Health Insurance Before Medicare Planner is a digital tool that helps employees understand their health coverage options before they are eligible for Medicare. The tool helps employees:

  • Understand which coverage options they are eligible for
  • Estimate costs for each option including premium tax credits
  • Assess cost strategies that may help bridge any income gaps before Medicare
